Day 1: Tangier-Rabat-Casablanca-dist: 340 km

Explore Morocco From Tangier

Upon arrival at Tangier ferry or Air port, greeting by your professional driver guide, and immediate depart towards “Rabat” the current capital of Morocco. Your visit begins by exploring the unfinished “Hassan tower Mosque” which was intended to be the world largest in 1199. Right in the front is the modern Mausoleums, Mohamed V and Hassan II. You might also discover the “Oudayas Kasbah” which was a former fortified military camp, built in the 12th century. Afterward, head to Casablanca for overnight at the hotel. Day 2: Casablanca-Marrakech-dist: 244 km

After you leave from your hotel, you will first visit some Casablanca’s highlights. “Hassan II Mosque” the third world largest, it dominates the city skyline, promontory looking out over the Atlantic Ocean. Most notably, it has the tallest minaret on the planet, which stands 210 m high. Non- Muslims are allowed entry only as part of a guided tour. Day 3: Marrakech-Full guided city tour.

Day 4: Marrakech-Ouarzazate-dist: 204 km

Today, you will head Southeast towards the High Atlas Mountains, followed by few stops for rest and for taking lovely photos. The zigzagging road takes you up to an altitude, reaching 2260 m with stunning views overlooking snow mountain peaks and remote Berber villages. Briefly after, drive down hills following the former caravan route to Telouet. Getting to “Ait ben haddou” which once was an important place for merchants to rest and trade on the caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Go on walk and explore this UNESCO world heritage site since 1987. The ksar would have been a complete example of ancient pre-saharian architecture. Now it is a must seeing tourists attraction and an important location for movie makers.

Late in the afternoon ride for another 20 minutes to “Ouarzazate” for overnight at the hotel or riad.

Day 5: Ouarzazate-Todra gorges-dist: 244 km

Leave Ouarzazate by heading East along the route of one thousand kasbah; visit the 17th century “kasbah Amridil”; then continue through the “Roses valley” where Morocco’s most celebrated rose festival used for making rose water. Each May 3000-4000 tons of Roses may be gathered in a single week, when the harvest is over, the town hosts the Roses Moussem festival.

Afterwards, continue along the broad “Dades valley”; blessed with rich agricultural fields, and an astonishing numbers of Kasbahs. Visit its beautiful Gorges carved the by the dades river centuries ago; after while leave straight to Todra gorges for overnight stay.

Day 6: Todra Gorges-Merzouga-dist: 202 km

Day 7: Excursion around the dunes-dist: 82 km

Explore Morocco From Tangier

Wake early in the morning to welcome the first sun rays on the dunes; have breakfast, then ride your camel back to the hotel. Meet your driver and leave for an excursion around the dunes; you will experience the nomad’s life style and enjoy a Gnawa music show with the locals, at the village khamlia.

Depending the rain season, you may also see the pink flamingo’s birds in a huge natural lake, around the village of Merzouga; Lunch in one of the Berber family’s house. Late afternoon return to the hotel for a second night.

Day 8: Merzouga-Midelt-Fes-dist: 470 km

Depart from Merzouga towards Fes, through Errachidia with its amazing green valley; and “Midelt” known as apple town. You will mostly ride through the Anti atlas mountains; traverse the Holm oak Azrou cedar forest, home for an impressive wild monkey “macaques” living locally.

Further on up the road, you will cross “Ifrane” the fascinate town known for heavy snowfalls during winter months; it often called “Morocco “Switzerland”.

Shortly after, you will arrive to Fes where you will finally retire at your accommodation “Riad”, located inside the old city.

Day 9: Fez-Full guided city tour

Today will be dedicated for Fez’s full day city tour with your professional local guide. Your visit begins by exploring the Royal palace and Jewish quarter; thereafter, you will enjoy a great panoramic view over the old town with its countless Mosques and monuments. You will then drive down and go to see the brilliant cobalt-blue pottery, that has been made in Fez since the 11th century.

Craftsmen still making it by hand in workshops; turning pots on a traditional potter’s wheel as has been the practice for centuries. As you wander around the city ramparts; your guide will lead you on a walk and dive into the medina to discover Fez’s highlights. Return to your hotel at late afternoon.

Day 10: Fez-Meknes-Chefchaouen-dist: 265 km

You will firstly visit “Meknes”, commonly known as the Versailles of Morocco with its extravagant palaces; terraced park and huge monuments, including the 18th century ornamented gate “Bab Mansour”.

Next is the Roman ruins and archaeological site of Volubilis; declared a UNESCO world heritage site for its historical interest in 1997. Visit and then leave straight to “Chefchaouen” the city nice city known for striking blue-washed buildings; explore the area by yourself and overnight. where you will spend a night.

Day 11: Chefchaouen-Tangier.dist: 123 km
