Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat
After your landing in casablanca airport, you will be greeted by one of our perfectly English speaking driver.
Depending on your arrival time, you might visit the 3rd largest Mosque in the world (Hassan 2 Mosque ); enjoy a slow drive along the boulevard la corniche (one of the most Casablanca’s expensive residential area ). From here you’ll be heading out to Rabat (the seat of the governement and the current capital of Morocco, and home of the royal family). Here you’ll be staying in a nice Riad, located in the middle of Rabat’s old town (Medina).
Day 2: Rabat – Chefchaouen
Wake up quietly and enjoy the riad’s traditional breakfast, and then you’ll start exploring the city of Rabat.
First visiting the infinished minaret of an uncompleted Mosque dating from 1195 (Hassan tower founded by Abou Youssef Yakoub al-Mansour. It was intended to be the the largest minaret in the world along with the Mosque. When al-Mansour died in 1199, constructions on the mosque stopped. The tower reached only 44 meters, about half of its intended 86 meters). 2nd: The modern mausoleum of Mohamed V, and Hassan II. 3rd: Visit of the medieval fortified Kasbah challah (after it was abandoned by the romans in 1150, it was reffered to us as a royal burial ground ).
After visiting all these Rabat’s highlights, our next destination will be the blue city of Chefchaouen (known for the striking blue-washed buildings of its old town dating from the 15th century).
The beauty of chefchaouen’s mountainous surroundings area, are enhanced by the contrast of the brightly painted medina, which makes chefchaouen a paradise for full relaxation. Overnight stay in a beautiful Riad where you’ll be atmosphered by locals warmed welcome.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Fez
Today we gonna drive you through the green rif mountains, straightly to the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Afterwards getting to the city of Meknes (known for its imperial past with romnants, including the 18th century huge ornamented gate of Bab Mansour; the gate will take us into the former imperial city).
Have lunch here before heading to Fez where you’ll be staying in a luxury Riad, located in the heart of the old town (fez el bali).
Day 4: Fez’s full guided city tour
Today will be dedicated for full guided city tour, starting by driving along the ramparts including the royal palace and numerous factories where blue cobalt ceramics are being made since 11th century.
Your visit will be completed with your local professional guide, while mingling with the locals and navigating through the Fez’s old zigzaging alleyways. Overnight in a Riad
Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Merzouga
After breakfast, you’ll be heading south towards Merzouga, through the city of Ifrane (known for heavy snowfalls during winter months; it often called : Morocco Switzerland ).
Afterwards you’ll be driving up the middle Atlas mountains, crossing the huge Azrou’s forest where wild monkey live locally.
Next city is Midelt (known as apple town), and then to Errachidia where you’ll be greeted by an amazing green valley of palm-Groves, dicorated by several small berber villages built on the banks.
Before sunset, you’ll be reaching the golden sand area where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the Berbers hospitality followed by Moroccan mint tea. Before it gets late, you’ll be carried on a camel back to your luxury camp. There, you’ll be accommadated in a luxury private tent equipped with private bathroom and confortable king-size’s bed; dinner and breakfast are included.
At night time, while having your dinner, and enjoying a romantic environement; the Berbers will be happy to join the party, and playing their favorite traditional music around a campfire.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra gorges – Dades valley
Early in morning, you might see the first sun rays on one of the highest sand dunes. After having your breakfast, you’ll be carried on your camels which take you back to your car.
Today, before you reach your next destination ( Dades valley); you’ll see a magnificent palm-groves and the famous Todra gorges (a series of limestone river canyons). Overnight stay in dades valley , in a beautiful hidden hotel between spectacular dades mountain cliffs.
Day 7: Dades valle – Ait ben haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, visit of dades gorges (series of rugged wadi gorges carved out by the Dedes river). Afterwards you’ll be heading to Ouarzazate (movie city and Hollywood of Africa ), through the city kelaa m’gouna (Rose valley), and the road of a thousand kasbah.
Getting to Ait benhaddou ( A complete example of presaharian architecture, UNESCO heritage site since 1987, and an important location which seduced many moviemakers from all over the world ).
After enjoying a nice walk and visit of the site, we continue driving to Marrakech through the high Atlas mountains. Night stay in Marrakech in a fascinating riad, located in the very heart of Marrakech old town (Medina).
Day 8: Marrakech full guided city tour
Today will be dedicated for the complete guided city tour of Marrakech. Starting by exploring the old mosque (koutoubia , built by Almohad Caliph Yakoub al-Mansour: 1184 to 1199)); visit of the Saadian tombs; the Bahia palace; souks and the square of jemaa elfna (one the most busiest square and market place in the world ).
Late afternoon you might end your visit by discovering a magical mojorelle garden, created by the frensh Orientalist artist Jacques Majorelle.
Day 9: Marrakech (Cooking class and Hammam)
